- — Grove City

•Steven Shick, 60, of Ridgway, Pa., was charged with defiant trespass for failing to leave Grove City College property Friday after being told to go, police said.

Hermitage

•Keith C. Scott Jr., 19, of 513 Pennsylvania Ave., Farrell, has been charged with possession of marijuana for having a pot-filled cigar on the floor near where he was sitting when the car in which he was riding was stopped at 4:15 p.m. May 23 on Mercer Avenue, police said.

•Starfire J. Thompson, 28, of 1410 Robertson Road, Hermitage, has been charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia for having a bag of pot and a marijuana-filled cigarette in her vehicle when she was stopped at a sobriety checkpoint at 1:32 a.m. May 25 on East State Street near Neshannock Road, police said.

•Daniel D. Stonebraker, 21, of 298 Euclid Ave., Sharon, has been charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia for having a bag of pot when the vehicle in which he was riding was stopped at a sobriety checkpoint at 12:45 a.m. May 25 on East State Street near Neshannock Road, police said.

•Shaina A. Jones, 29, of Pitcairn, has been charged with forgery and theft for using a counterfeit $50 bill to buy a drink that cost $1.80 at 6:25 p.m. Jan. 8 at Sheetz, 2381 S. Hermitage Road, police said.

•Dustin L. Morrow, 26, of 904 Wallis Ave., Farrell, has been charged with theft and receiving stolen property for stealing a woman’s purse containing $60, a cell phone and other items at 8:29 p.m. May 19 at Kohl’s, 570 S. Hermitage Road, police said.

Police tracked the calls Morrow made from the phone and the victim said he used an application on the phone to upload “selfie” photographs to the Dropbox website, police said.

Southwest Mercer County Regional

•A stove, copper pipes and two aluminum ladders were stolen from an apartment in the 1300 block of Farrell Terrace, Farrell, said police, who were notified at 9:04 a.m. Thursday.

•Police said they are investigating five reports of vandalism that occurred Saturday through Monday in the area of Chestnut Street and its intersecting streets in Wheatland, police said.

Vandals used spray paint, ranch dressing and other products on vehicles and stationary properties, police said.

•Jason L. Smith, 39, of 1142 Main St., Sharpsville, has been charged with simple assault and disorderly conduct for punching a woman in the face at 3:22 a.m. Monday in the sub-100 block of Walnut Street, West Middlesex, police said.

State police

•Two people were treated at Grove City Medical Center, Pine Township, for what police termed moderate injuries when their pickup hit a deer and slid on a wet Liberty Road into a tree at 2:21 p.m. Sunday, north of Schmidt Road in Pine Township, police said.

Driver Kevin E. Uber, 46, and passenger Beverly L. Uber, 72, both of Grove City, were hurt, police said.

•Police said they are investigating a Grove City man’s report that someone used his credit card without permission between May 30 and Wednesday, making $148 in purchases.

•The second of three people charged with stealing items from 11 stores at the Springfield Township outlet mall has been arrested, police said.

Lashana L. Henderson, 22, of Erie, has been arrested on charges of receiving stolen property, felony retail theft, organized retail theft, possession of marijuana, possession of an instrument of crime and conspiracy to commit retail theft, police said.

Henderson was driving a car stopped for speeding March 18 on Interstate 79 in Crawford County, police said. Inside the car, police recovered clothing and merchandise with the tags still on them from 11 stores in Grove City Premium Outlets, but no receipts for the items, which were valued at about $6,300, police said.

Merle A. Page, 23, of Erie, previously was arrested, while an arrest warrant has been issued for Queonia Q. Robinson, 19, of Erie.

•Jonathan R. Crumbacher, 36, of 816 Hamburg Road, Delaware Township; at 12:45 a.m. May 25 on East State Street near Neshannock Road.
