SHARPSVILLE — Grove City

•Sean Miller, 20, of 606 Barkeyville Road, Pine Township, was cited for underage drinking at 12:49 a.m. Thursday in the 800 block of West Main Street, police said.

Hermitage

•Police said they are investigating two thefts of motorcycles in Patagonia.

A Yamaha 125cc dirt bike was stolen from a garage in the 900 block of Adelaide Street, said police, who received the report at 7:40 a.m. Monday. There was no evidence of forced entry.

A 70cc SSR Motorsports dirt bike was stolen Thursday evening from a driveway in the 2200 block of Orangeville Road, police said.

Sharon

•Gwendolyn Johnson, 53, of 299 Quinby St., was arrested at about 12:30 p.m. Monday upon release from the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System in connection with an earlier assault.

Johnson had argued with a woman at about 11:45 a.m. Saturday in the 300 block of Quinby. She threw a glass that broke after it struck the 36-year-old victim on the leg. Johnson used a piece of the broken glass to stab the victim in the shoulder and cut her under her right eye, police said.

The victim was treated at the scene by ambulance responders and taken in a private car to the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System, police said.

Johnson was charged with aggravated assault and recklessly endangering another person and taken to Mercer County Jail.

•David Perna was arrested at about 7:15 p.m. Monday and charged in connection with a stolen car.

Perna, 28, was hiding behind a plumbing access panel in the bathroom when his parole officer and police came looking for him to ask about the stolen car with a broken window, broken ignition mechanism and stolen license plate parked outside his home at 479 W. State St., police said.

The 1997 Chevrolet coupe was reported stolen Monday from a used car dealer on South Irvine Avenue.

Inside the residence, police said, they found syringes and heroin-related items. Perna was charged with receiving stolen property and possession of drug paraphernalia and taken to Mercer County Jail on a detainer for violating his parole.
