Police, Fire for May 12, 2014

• Light fixtures, a garage door opening system, a mailbox, a light pole and swimming pool and sump pumps were stolen between March 14 and April 24 from a vacant home in the 900 block of Mercer Grove City Road, Findley Township, police said.

The house flooded as a result of the sump pump theft, causing extensive damage to the basement, police said.

The total loss and repair costs were nearly $11,000, police said.

• Expired Pennsylvania license plate FM1613C was stolen between April 27 and May 1 from a vehicle parked in the sub-100 block of Cribbs Road Extension, Findley Township, police said.
