Police, Fire from March 14, 2014

- — Grove City

• An unknown vehicle hit a parked van and left the scene between 5:30 and 11:15 p.m. Tuesday in the 500 block of Bessemer Avenue, police said.

Hermitage

• Lauryn M. Ullstrom, 26, of 80 Fifth Ave., Sharon, was charged with possession of heroin and Alprazolam and drug paraphernalia for items found on her and in her car at 5:58 p.m. March 5 in the 2400 block of East State Street, where another occupant of her car, Allison Miller, overdosed, police said. Miller, 28, of 829 Alma Ave., Hermitage, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

• Someone broke into Spray N Vac Car Wash, 920 N. Hermitage Road, Monday night or Tuesday morning and stole tools and an undetermined amount of money, police said.

• Javin Z. Hueston, 22, of 54 Smith Ave., Sharon, was charged with terroristic threats and simple assault for threatening a woman with a butcher knife and slamming her against a refrigerator by the throat at 3:14 a.m. Feb. 7 in the 200 block of Orange Drive, police said.

Mercer

• Jacqualine M. Hermann, 35, of 301 Stambaugh Ave., Sharon, was charged with theft and receiving stolen property for stealing two video game systems, DVDs, video games and a tablet computer between Feb. 15 and March 3 from a home in the 400 block of North Pitt Street, where she was serving house arrest, police said. She sold some items to a business in Hermitage and a game system and the computer were recovered, police said.

Southwest Mercer County Regional

• Lavaughan C. Crumby, 23, of 335 Sterling Ave., Sharon, was charged with simple assault for pouring a soft drink on a woman’s head, spitting in her face, pulling her hair while dragging her down steps and hitting her in the face at 9:37 p.m. March 2 at the 600 block of Beechwood Avenue, Farrell, police said.

• Latasha Lowe, 37, of 1102 Roemer Blvd., Farrell, was charged with simple assault for hitting and scratching Manis J. Norman, 37, of the same address March 5 at home, police said. Norman previously was charged with simple assault in connection with the same incident.

• Basement windows of a home in the 1000 block of Washington Street, Farrell, were broken, said police, who were notified at 9:34 p.m. Tuesday. A woman was seen running away, police said.

• Two chainsaws were stolen from the trunk of a car in the sub-100 block of Emerson Avenue, Wheatland, said police, who received the report at 12:59 p.m. Wednesday.

State police

• Devon M. Herbert, 21, of Harrisville, was injured when her Jeep hit a boulder and a tree at 5:58 p.m. Tuesday on Amsterdam Road eastbound, Liberty Township, police said. She was taken to Grove City Medical Center, Pine Township, and transferred to Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, police said. Herbert was cited for a lane violation.

• Jessica J. Mularski, 26, of Harrisville didn’t have to go far for treatment when her car was rear-ended by another at 4:29 p.m. Tuesday – the crash occurred on Route 173 in front of Grove City Medical Center, Pine Township. Mularski was stopped in the northbound lane waiting to turn into the hospital parking lot when the car driven by Charles D. Lee II, 35, of Grove City, hit her car, police said. Lee was cited for following too closely.

• An air compressor was stolen between March 6 and Monday from the 500 block of North Summit Road, Greene Township, police said.

DRUNKEN DRIVING ARRESTS

Hermitage

• Aaron P. Tilton, 22, of 449 Watson St., Sharon; at 1:41 a.m. Tuesday at the Shenango Valley Freeway and Smith Avenue, where his vehicle hit a curb; also charged with reckless driving and driving at an unsafe speed.

Southwest Mercer County Regional

• Zachary J. Dubrasky, 31, of Pulaski; at 1:55 a.m. Feb. 8 on Buckwalter Road and Gearhart Road; also charged with a lane violation.

WARRANT ARREST

Southwest Mercer County Regional

• Justin Eastlick, 26, of 45 Sunset Lane, Hermitage; at 3:02 a.m. Wednesday at Stafford Avenue and Greene Street on warrant on failure to pay warrants from Southwest, Sharon and Hermitage police.
