Police, fire reports from Sept.18

Someone stole two buckets of scrap metal and electric wire that was cut between Sunday and Monday from 241 S. Broad Street, police said.

Someone stole a pair of girls Ariat brown and camoflauge boots valued at $90 Sept. 13 from a pavilion at Grove City Memorial Park while the cross country team was practicing, police said.

A Grove City woman told police someone poked a hole in the sidewall of her car tire overnight Monday. The car tire is estimated at $200. The vehicle had been parked in the borough lot off College Avenue, police said.


Allison R. Miller, 17, of 829 Alma Ave., Hermitage, has been charged with possession of heroin, Clonazepam, Alprazolam and hydrocodone, possession with intent to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia for having 147 packets of heroin and 13 pills in a "Hello Kitty" thermos when police responded to her overdosing at 10:22 a.m. Sunday in the sub-100 block of Crescent Ave., police said.

Christopher J. Scalf, 26, of 440 Prindle St., Sharon has been charged in two cases with two counts of theft for returning two pairs of jeans that had just been stolen by an unknown woman for $95 store credit at 1:32 p.m. Sept. 5 at KohlÕs, 570 S. Hermitage Road, and pet supplies stolen by the same woman for a $19 gift card at 4:11 p.m. Sept. 7 at Walmart, 1275 N. Hermitage Road, police said. Melissa S. Deflin, 36, of 173 Porter Road, West Salem Township, has been charged with simple assault, criminal mischief, disorderly conduct, harassment, careless driving and following too closely for punching a man in face and stomach at 4:06 p.m. Saturday in the 2100 block of the Shenango Valley Freeway, denting the car he was driving and alternately tailgating and driving alongside to yell profanities at him on the way to Esther Lane, police said.

Michael S. Albaugh, 37, of 863 N. Buhl Farm Drive, Hermitage, has been charged with loitering and prowling at night and public drunkenness for trying to open two doors of a home occupied by a woman and two children at 5:37 a.m. Sunday in the 200 block of Greenwood Drive, police said.
