- — State police

• A vandal threw a cob of corn at about 3 p.m. Monday and broke the rear passenger window of an SUV owned by Edna Balcko, 86, Irishtown Road, Pine Township, police said.

• Jacob E. Filer, 16, of Mercer, wasn’t seriously hurt when the eastbound car he was driving ran off West Cornell Road at about 9:10 p.m. Thursday and struck a stone pillar at the end of a driveway, police said.

Filer, who was wearing a seatbelt, was cited for speeding, police said.

• Debra D. Blauser, 24, of Greenville was wearing a seatbelt and wasn’t hurt but the westbound SUV she was driving had to be towed after it struck a deer at about 11:40 p.m. Tuesday on Jamestown Road in Greene Township, police said.
