Police, Fire from Feb. 26, 2013

• Raheem M. Hughes, 26, of 381 Liberty St., Sharon, is charged with prohibited possession of a firearm and possession of a firearm without serial numbers, after his parole agent saw a loaded .22-caliber pistol in his home at 10:10 a.m. Friday, police said.

• Paige C. Freet, 19, of 31 Fourth St., Sharpsville, was charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and prohibited offensive weapons after a traffic stop at 4:10 p.m. Friday at East Budd Street and New Castle Avenue. Police said they saw a small bag of suspected marijuana in the console of the car, and Freet was carrying a switchblade knife.

• Nicholas M. Brown, 23, of 661 S. Stateline Road, Sharon, was charged with theft after police caught him trying to steal a ladder at 2:38 p.m. Thursday in the 500 block of Davis Street.

• Someone passed two counterfeit $50 bills Thursday afternoon at Family Dollar in Sharon City Centre, police said.

State police

• Someone broke into the clubhouse and took a money bag before 4:38 p.m. Feb. 19 from Walnut Creek Golf Course, 3277 E. Lake Road, South Shenango Township, Crawford County, police said.

• Stanley J. Tatomirovich, 46, of Mercer was hurt in a one vehicle crash at 7:02 p.m. Saturday on Airport Road, north of Plummer McCullough Road in Coolspring Township, police said.

Tatomirovich’s northbound pickup went off Airport Road and hit a utility pole. He had moderate injuries but wasn’t taken to a hospital, police said.

• Melissa Sue Quinn, 44, of 133 Kidds Mill Road, Pymatuning Township, was charged with retail theft after she was caught shoplifting at 4:28 p.m. Friday at Grove City County Market, Pine Township, police said.

This was Quinn’s third offense, making the charge a felony; state police said she stole two bags of cough drops, a pack of “stretchy ropes” toys and a correction pen, the total value of which was $9.32, police said.

• Rachel C. Kurtz, 21, of Grove City, was hurt in a pickup crash at 1 a.m. Monday on Butler Pike in Findley Township, police said. Kurtz was southbound when she lost control on the icy road and the truck rolled over and into a tree, police said.

Kurtz suffered minor injuries, but wasn’t taken to a hospital, police said.

WARRANT ARRESTS

Grove City

ä Codey Holtman, 19, of Grove City was arrested on a warrant for an incident in July, police said. He is charged with burglary, criminal trespass, receiving stolen property, and theft by unlawful taking, police said. Holtman was released on $50,000 bond, police said.

Mercer County sheriff

• Larry Rust, 47, of 320 Sterling Ave., Sharon; Thursday on a domestic relations warrant.

• Twain Espree, 32, of 719 Lee Ave., Farrell, Friday on bench and domestic relations warrants.
