Prayer Band to meet in Greater Morris Chapel
FARRELL — Community Prayer Band will meet at 6 a.m. Sunday in Greater Morris Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church, 926 Darr Ave.
Evangelist Deborah L. Sanders in song contest
FARRELL — Evangelist Deborah Lewis Sanders of Farrell will be a contestant for the Word Network Gospel FOCUS (Find Out Can U Sing) at 9 a.m. Saturday in Philadelphia.
Holy Name to attend Mass at Fatima, meet
FARRELL — Holy Name Society will attend Mass at 9 a.m. Sunday in Our Lady of Fatima Church, 601 Roemer Blvd.
A breakfast meeting will follow in the cafeteria of Monsignor Geno J. Monti School chapel, 1225 Union St., Farrell. All members and guests are encouraged to attend.
Keelings giving concert in Lakeview Church of God
SANDY LAKE TOWNSHIP — The Keelings of Hadley will give a concert on Mother’s Day at 10:45 a.m. Sunday in Lakeview Church of God, 2479 Mercer St. (Route 62).
An offering will be received.
Word Centered church marking 5th anniversary
MASURY — Word Centered Fellowship Church, 490 Lucy St., will celebrate its fifth anniversary May 16 through 18.
The celebration will begin May 16 with a gospel extravaganza in The Radisson of Sharon, Shenango Township. Tickets are $10 and include dinner. Tickets can be purchased at the door or by calling the church at 330-448-4060.
The program will include praise and worship teams, flag dancers, soloists and Covenant Mime Ministry of Pittsburgh. A Chinese auction will be held during the meal.
The celebration will end with a special service at 11 a.m. May 18 in the church, with the message given by the Rev. Dr. L. Bryant Parker of Indianapolis.
Crossing Paths plans annual spring banquet
HUBBARD — Crossing Paths local television ministry will have its annual spring banquet at 6:30 p.m. May 16 in Brentford House, 737 Myron St.
Donald G. Reed Sr. founded the ministry, seen on more than 70 cable companies, as well as local Channel 27, FOX 17/62 and UHF 29.
Vic Rubenstein will be special guest. He was born in Youngstown to Jewish parents and married a new born-again believer who unwittingly found herself unevenly yoked. During the first 12 years of their marriage, Rubenstein did everything possible to disprove the Lordship of Jesus Christ in an effort to convert his wife to Judaism.
Denying countless miracles as chance, Rubenstein refused to accept Jesus as his savior, even as his marriage crumbled.
Devine Delay will provide music. Reservations are needed for the full dinner buffet. Sponsors are being sought to help defray expenses. Table sponsorship is $90 for a table of eight, and sponsors will choose their own table when arriving at the banquet hall. An offering will be received to help with expenses.

St. Paul’s UCC honoring those who serve, families
HERMITAGE — Law enforcement officers, emergency medical service personnel and their families in the Shenango Valley will be honored May 18 in St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, 159 Todd Ave. Coffee-and-doughnuts fellowship is at 10:30 a.m., followed at 11 a.m. by an hour-long service.
Peace Officers’ Memorial Day is Thursday. National Emergency Medical Services Memorial Day is May 24.
Fallowfield U.M. sets revival, Lancaster trip
ATLANTIC — A revival is planned for May 18 through 20 in Fallowfield United Methodist Church, 3993 Leach Road, with Dr. Michael Poke of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church as featured speaker.
A covered dish dinner will be at 3 p.m. and a concert featuring St. Paul’s Male Chorus at 4:30 p.m., both May 18. Bible studies with Marge Hines will be at 9:30 a.m. and praise and worship services at 7 p.m. both May 19 and 20.
Nursery will be provided during the Bible studies and evening services.

The church also will sponsor a Sight and Sound trip July 11 and 12 to Lancaster, Pa. The group will leave from Anderson’s Coach and Travel in Greenville to see “In the Beginning” and “Abraham and Sarah.”
A tour of the Amish countryside, dinner in an Amish home, and shopping also will be included.

Bethany Presbyterian hosting MAYN event
MERCER — A MAYN (Mercer Area Youth Network) event is set for 6 to 9 p.m. May 18 in the rear parking lot of Bethany Presbyterian Church, 100 W. Venango St.
The tailgate party that includes a pig roast and bonfire celebrates the “Nikes” and “Renovate” youth ministries. Parents and teens in seventh through 12th grades can attend; bring a lawn chair. Participants also can bring a dish to share.
Drive-in services planned at Wildwood Acres
ANDOVER, Ohio — First United Methodist Church, Andover, will sponsor drive-in outdoor services for campers at 9:30 a.m. Sundays, May 25 through Aug. 30, at Wildwood Acres Campground at the intersection of state Route 7 and Marvin Road, a couple miles south of Andover Village Square.
This will be the 36th year for these services. Those attending can remain in their car, bring a chair to sit outside or sit in chairs provided.
Dan Schall will provide music June 29; and God’s Quad, July 27.
Christian motorcyclists to be part of 2nd rally
SHENANGO VALLEY — Several Christian Motorcycle Association branches will ride May 23 in the second annual “Rally in the Valley.”
The run starts at 6 p.m. at McDonald’s in Sharon and makes its way to Veterans Square Park in Farrell, where the community will be assembled awaiting the arrival of the bikers. Games will be provided for children at the park. Hot dogs and drinks will be available.
Sponsors are Living Word Church, Hermitage; New Light Missionary Baptist Church, Sharon; Shenango Valley Ministerial Association; and Child Evangelism Fellowship.
Villa Maria Center sets ‘Art, Retreat’ weekend
VILLA MARIA — “Art and Retreat: Mandalas and Prayer” will be held May 29 through June 1 at Villa Maria Retreat Center, one mile south of U.S. 422 on Evergreen Road in Lawrence County.
Paulette Kirschensteiner, Humility of Mary, will explore art as a resource for listening to God’s presence within us.
