Seventh-day Adventist to honor high school seniors
SHENANGO TOWNSHIP — Shenango Valley Seventh-day Adventist Church, 1001 Wheatland Road, will honor high school graduates-to-be A.J. Mecozzi and Jon Clark at a special service and fellowship meal starting at 11 a.m. Saturday.
Both plan to enter the military, A.J. the Marines and Jon the National Guard. Anthony Mecozzi of Warren, Ohio, will give the sermon.
St. John’s Lutheran sets summer schedule
GREENVILLE — St. John’s Lutheran Church, 10 Beil Hill Road, will observe their summer worship schedule beginning Sunday. Worship with communion will be at 10 a.m.
Friendship Women’s Day features guest speaker
FARRELL — Women’s Day will be observed at 4 p.m. Sunday in Friendship Baptist Church, 339 Spearman Ave.
Guest speaker will be the Rev. Acquanetta Osborne, pastor of Greater Morris Chapel A.M.E. Church, Farrell, who will be accompanied by her choir and congregation.
Theme will be “Women, Walk Obediently with God.”
New Light missionary at Second Baptist service
SHARPSVILLE — Missionary April Avery Torrance of New Light Missionary Baptist Church in Sharon will speak at the annual Missionary Day at Second Baptist Church.
The service will be at 4 p.m. in the church on High Street at Walnut Avenue. Soloists will be Shirley Owens of Valley Baptist Church and Brandon Blackwell of Greater Mount Zion Church, both of Farrell.
Central Pa. band in New Fellowship concert
HERMITAGE — Shades of Gray from central Pennsylvania will be in concert at 6 p.m. Sunday in New Fellowship Baptist Church on Route 62. The concert is free.
The band includes percussionist Emmanuel Graham, formerly of Farrell.
Trinity Presbyterian installs officers
MERCER — Trinity Presbyterian Church, 110 E. Market St., has installed officers.
Elected to serve as elders are Mark Arnold, John Courtney, Pam P. Courtney, Hal Johnson, Joanna Julock and Karla Snyder. Elected deacons are Nancy Albert, Judy Arnold, Gregg McCandless and Candy Stern.
Church’s Stick Team to present program
TRANSFER — Transfer First Baptist Church Stick Team will present a program of music and drama featuring dowel rods, fabric, sign language and black light.
Time of the service is 7 p.m. May 31 in the church at 50 Broad St.
Drive-in services set for Pymatuning Lake visitors
ANDOVER, Ohio — First United Methodist Church of Andover will for the 37th year sponsor drive-in outdoor services on Sundays for campers and others visiting or vacationing in the Pymatuning Lake area.
The site is at Wildwood Acres Campground at the intersection of state Route 7 and Marvin Road, a couple miles south of Andover Village Square. Signs will be posted.
Services at 9:30 a.m. begin Sunday and continue through Sept. 6. Gospel singer Dan Schall will minister on June 14 and Sound Witness on Aug. 9.
Those attending can view the service from their cars or can bring chairs to sit in outside their cars. Chairs also will be provided.
