Rudge collecting Bibles and more for distribution
HERMITAGE — Bill Rudge Ministries is again this year accepting donations of new or good used Bibles, Christian books, cassettes, CDs, videos and DVDs for worldwide distribution. The undertaking is part of the ministry’s World Outreach 2008.
Last year the ministry distributed more than 185,000 biblical resources to give to missionaries, national pastors, chaplains and military personnel. This year’s goal is 200,000.
To donate, bring items to the ministry center at 280 N. Buhl Farm Drive, Hermitage.
Community Baptist celebrating 62nd year
FARRELL — Community Missionary Baptist Church is celebrating its 62nd anniversary.
The Rev. Brian K. Johnson, pastor of New Light Missionary Baptist Church, Sharon, will speak at 7 p.m. today.
The celebration will climax at 4 p.m. Sunday with Rev. Walter Gillespie, pastor of Faith Temple Baptist Church, Campbell, Ohio, speaking.
Prayer Breakfast planned in Zion Daily Bread
FARRELL — Men and Women Prayer Breakfast will be at 9 a.m. Saturday in Zion Daily Bread, 825 Sharon New Castle Road.
The Rev. Brian Johnson, pastor of New Light Missionary Baptist Church in Sharon, will be guest speaker. An offering will be received.
“Your Prayer Is Heard: A Fellowship of Prayer,” from Matthew 18:18-20, will be the theme.
