Shenango Valley Baptist hosts Blackwood quartet
HERMITAGE — The nationally acclaimed Blackwood Gospel Quartet will give a concert at 7 p.m. Saturday in Shenango Valley Baptist Church, 40 S. Neshannock Road.
The group, which has performed with the Gaithers, features two-time Grammy Award winner Mark Blackwood.

Hubbard church will rededicate sanctuary
HUBBARD — First Presbyterian Church of Hubbard will rededicate its sanctuary at its 11 a.m. service Sunday, exactly 50 years after the original dedication. The service will replicate the original by using the same anthems, hymns, scripture reading and declaration of dedication.
The congregation will honor 45 people who have been members for 50 years or more. The honorees are topped by Clara Mansel, who has been a member for 85 years.
Thiel Choir at special Christ Lutheran service
SHARON — The Thiel Choir will sing at the annual “Praise and Thanksgiving” service Sunday in Christ Lutheran Church. 396 Buhl Blvd. Service time is 4 p.m.
A potluck dinner will be served after the concert.
Ordination service set for Minister Saunders
FARRELL — An ordination service for Minister Ernest “Skip” Saunders will be conducted at 5 p.m. Sunday in Community Missionary Baptist Church, 1013 Emerson Ave. The church choir and mime ministry will be part of the service.
A light meal will follow.
Guest speaker at Love Christian youth meeting
FARRELL — The Rev. Ralph Egyud of Conneaut Lake will be guest speaker for a youth meeting at 7 p.m. Sunday in Love Christian Center, 411 Hamilton Ave. A worship team from Crawford County will accompany him.
