Men’s weekend begins at Ruth A.M.E. Zion
SHARON – Ruth African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church, 95 Connelly Blvd., is holding its Annual Men’s Fellowship Weekend.
At 7 p.m. today, guest speaker will be the Rev. T. James Harrison, accompanied by his male chorus and congregation of Valley Baptist Church, Farrell.
The event will climax Sunday with an 11 a.m. service with Minister Anton Crosby and Ruth Church’s male chorus, and a 4:30 p.m. service with Rev. Clarence L. Tucker of St. John United Holiness Church, New Castle, as speaker, accompanied by his church and choir.
Bethlehem Baptist holds 93rd anniversary service
SHARON – Bethlehem Baptist Church, 858 Wallis Ave., will celebrate its 93rd church anniversary at 11 a.m. Sunday with Pastor Rasonia Pennix-Herring of New Dimension Full Gospel Baptist Church, Pittsburgh, speaking on the theme, “A Church on the Move.”
Bethlehem choirs will provide music. Dinner will be served after the service.
New Hope marks Pastor Dukes’ 21st anniversary
FARRELL – New Hope Baptist Church, 909 Lee Ave., Farrell, will honor the Rev. Clevon Dukes, pastor, and First Lady Arnita Dukes for 21 years of service at 11 a.m. Sunday.
Evangelist Christal Graham-Jones will be speaker with the Rev. Richard Roberts as worship leader.
Theme is from Jeremiah 3:15, “And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.”
Group to give Christmas Eve Traditions concert

Keelings to sing at South Py Community Church
SOUTH PYMATUNING TOWNSHIP – The Keelings will be in concert at 6 p.m. Sunday in South Pymatuning Community Church, 3400 Tamarack Drive. An offering will be received.
The Keelings are in their 20th year in southern gospel music ministry and have recorded 26 albums, including several songs that were chart-toppers. They have toured throughout the eastern United States.
South Py church is local relay center for OCC
SOUTH PYMATUNING TOWNSHIP – South Pymatuning Community Church, 3400 Tamarack Drive, is serving as the Shenango Valley Relay Center for Operation Christmas Child, the ministry outreach of Samaritan’s Purse, headed by Franklin Graham.
In its 20th year, the OCC has delivered 100 million shoe boxes full of gifts – toys, treats, school supplies and necessities – to needy children around the world.
Collection week at the South Py church will start Monday. Shoe boxes may be dropped off from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday; 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday; 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday and Nov. 22; 9 to 11 a.m. Nov. 23; noon to 2 p.m. Nov. 24; and 1 to 2 p.m. Nov. 25.

Couple to give holiday concert at New Virginia
HERMITAGE – New Virginia United Methodist Church, 1100 S. Keel Ridge Road, will present a holiday concert at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 24. Mary Ann and Sam Carmella, a husband and wife couple, will sing and play a variety of songs including hymns and popular standards.
Ruth A.M.E. welcomes young men for forum
SHARON -- A “Black Male Struggling” Forum is set for 9 a.m. to noon Nov. 30 in Ruth African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church, 95 Connelly Blvd. Representatives from the area including educators, a youth perspective panel, the Urban League, NAACP, Shenango Valley Ministerial Association and Men of God Association Plus will participate.
The focus is males ages 6 to 20 and their parents.
