The Valley Church spring revival under way
HERMITAGE – “Renew Your Mind” Spring Revival is under way at The Valley Church, 1957 Pine Hollow Blvd. The Rev. Dr. Angel De La Cruz will speak at 7 p.m. today and Rev. Dr. Rebecca New-Edson will speak at 10:30 a.m. Sunday.
For Thursday’s opening night, the speaker was Rev. Charles Johnson Jr.
2-day program slated at Shiloh Ministries
GROVE CITY – Apostolic Intercession and Prayer Summit is scheduled for today and Saturday at Shiloh Intrusion Minstries, 124è S. Center St.
Tonight’s speaker is Elder Lisa McCoy of Apostolic Ministries, Inc. Service time is 7:30.
Speakers for sessions Saturday from 9:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. are Pastor Veda Holland of Mount Olive Baptist Church; Pastor Anita McCoy, Field of Dreams Harvest Ministries; and Elder Kimberlee Schnelzer and Apostle Pam Schnelzer of the host ministries.

W.Va. pastor to speak at Church of God revival
GREENVILLE – The Rev. Tonya Shupe will be guest evangelist for a revival next week at First Church of God, 192 Vernon Road. Service times are at 10:30 a.m. Sunday and 7 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday.
Rev. Shupe has been co-pastor for 21 years at Jones Avenue Church of God in Oak Hill, W.Va. She has preached at camp meetings, state ministers and women’s conferences, revivals, youth conventions and the International Convention of the Church of God.
Ohio pastor to speak at Hour of Power
FARRELL – Pastor Nick Furrie of Shiloh Ministries in Girard, Ohio, will be the guest speaker at the 11 a.m. service Sunday in Hour of Power Full Gospel Tabernacle, 1126 Fruit Ave.
Bethlehem’s Anointed Praise holds rededication
SHARON -- The Anointed Praise Choir of Bethlehem Baptist Church, 858 Wallis Ave., will hold a spiritual rededication service at 4 p.m. Sunday in the church with the Rev. T.J. Harrison, pastor of Valley Baptist Church, speaking, accompanied by his choir and congregation.
Clergywomen’s group marks 6th anniversary
FARRELL – The Shenango Valley Interdenominational Clergywomen’s Alliance will celebrate its sixth anniversary at 4:30 p.m. Sunday in Hour of Power Full Gospel Tabernacle, 1126 Fruit Ave.
Guest speakers will be Elder Lisa McCoy of Greater New & Living Way Temple of the Apostolic Faith of Sharon and Expeditor Prophetess Jennifer Campbell of Sharon. There will be singing and miming from New Light Missionary Baptist Church of Sharon and Friendship Baptist Church of Farrell.
Rev. Paul Greggs slated at IHS Lenten service
HERMITAGE – The Rev. Paul Greggs will speak at 7 p.m. Sunday at the third in a series of Lenten services at IHS Gospel Ministries, 786 Karen Lane.
Orthodox clergy’s annual Lenten retreat Saturday
HERMITAGE – Shenango Valley Orthodox Christian Clergy Association will sponsor its annual Lenten retreat March 29 in Holy Cross Orthodox Church, 950 Maple Drive.
The Rev. Andrew Stephen Damick of Emmaus, Pa., will be guest speaker. Theme is “The Ancient Church: In the Bible and After the Bible.”
Registration and continental breakfast at 9:30 a.m. Retreat presentations are at 10 a.m. Lunch will follow. Cost is $10.

Seminars on pastoral track, leaders’ track and youth track will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. April 5, with a worship service set for 7 p.m. April 4.
Keynote speakers will be the Rev. Michael H. Harrison Sr., pastor of Union Baptist Church, Youngstown; and the Rev. Dr. Avan M. Odom, pastor of Friendship Baptist Church, Warren, Ohio.

Revival can come to others if it first comes to believers seeking Kingdom
As a pastor and as a Christian, I often hear from other Christians lamenting that if they could only get the world to conform to their image everything would be better in our society, and thus the world. I would concede that if the whole world would conform to the image of God as taught in Romans 12:1-2 things would be ... Heavenly. Alas, that is not for this world but for the Kingdom to come.
Unity Presbyterian calls new pastor
Unity Presbyterian Church at Greenfield, the “neighborhood church” at 1857 Mercer-West Middlesex Road (Route 318), has called Jim Moose, a commissioned ruling elder of the Presbytery of Shenango, as pastor. His service begins immediately.

We recently celebrated Independence Day. Under the providential hand of God, our country gained its freedom from the greatest power on earth, and has kept it for over 200 years. We may not want to get real with others, but we can with God
“Get real!” was a phrase that was once popular. Few, if any, of us present our real self to others. We tend to show the side of ourselves that seems most acceptable and safe. At times this is appropriate and wise. But hiding our real self can make it difficult for people to accept us and love us as we are.
