Ministry slates dinner theater

BROOKFIELD — A new theater group affiliated with Greater Mount Zion Church of God in Christ has been rehearsing for its first production next month.

Highway to Heaven Angels Production, part of Highway to Heaven Team Ministries, is presenting a dinner theater drama, “Daddy, Why Do We Have to Live Like This?” April 4-5 at Tiffany’s Banquet Center, 601 Bedford Road SE, Brookfield. A meet-and-greet at 6 p.m. will include a buffet-style dinner, with the play set for 8 p.m. Cost is $25 per person.

Highway to Heaven Team Ministries minister is Jeffrey L. Gordon and missionary is Lanette R. Gordon. They are serving as writer, producer and director of the production.

The play portrays a family that faces trials at home, in church and in their community.

Highway to Heaven Team Ministries is a nonproft 501(C)3 organization providing dramatic ministry to everyone in the community. The group’s goal is to offer scholarships to the person or persons who exemplify outstanding talent, leadership skills and personal growth during each production.

The production and ministry is under the leadership of Pastor Tyrone T. Steal, assistant superintendent, and Co-Pastor and First Lady Tracey Steal of Greater Mount Zion COGIC.
