Let’s continue to give accolades to recent section winners and individual leaders of various leagues.

ä Nittany Pub & Grille won the 1st session of the Shenango Valley Tavern League that competes at Thornton Hall Lanes. They ended the session with 24 wins. Team members are Tim Templeton, Dave Montgomery, John Lapikas, Wally Grimm and Jerry Morocco.

In what has become a common occurrence in most leagues, there were only four games separating the top teams. Nittany Too finished 2nd with 23 points while Thelma’s Sports Nook finished 3rd with 21. Nittany Three finished 4th with 20.

High team scratch series is held by Nittany Too with 3116. Team members are John Scott, Jeff Sherman, Mike Prezgay, Tim Abbott and Nathan Sakony. Thelma’s Sports Nook is 2nd with 2966 while Nittany Pub & Grille is 3rd with 2928.

Billy’s Black & Gold is the leader in team scratch game with 1068. Team members are Dave VanOrd, R.J. Bowers, Ray Bowers, Mario Formichella and Fred Leunis. Sharon Elks is 2nd with 1067, and La Isla #1 is 3rd with 1064.

Wally Grimm is high scratch individual series with 770. Brian Geisel is 2nd with 767 and Chip Smith is 3rd with 727.

High Scratch game goes to Larry Long with 287. He is followed by Adam Scott and Jeff VanOrd at 279.

High averages are held by Jeff VanOrd (218.50), Adam Scott (213.08), Jerry Morocco (210.48), Ryan McCutcheon (210.21) and Grimm (210.14).

ä Team VanOrd won the 1st session of the Thornton Hall Monday Men’s Senior League. They ended the session with 23 points. Team members are Paul VanOrd, Bill Bowden, Lee Benge and Jerry Arthur. Team Gruver finished 2nd with 20.5 points and Team Hardin was 3rd with 20.

Team Fabrey has high team scratch series with 2252. Team members are Harry Jones, Don Bottenfield, Henry Fabrey II and Dick Costell. Team VanOrd is 2nd with 2237 while Team Formichella is 3rd with 2163.

High team handicap series is held by Team VanOrd with 2528. Team May is 2nd with 2487 and Team Formichella is 3rd with 2479.

Team Fabrey also has high team scratch game with 794. Team Formichella is 2nd with 789 while Team VanOrd is 3rd with 774.

Team Formichella has high team handicap game with 895. Team members include Ron Glaser, Bob Dillon, R. Sposito and Mario Formichella. Team Fabrey is 2nd with 867 and Team VanOrd is 3rd with 866.

Mike Prezgay has high individual series with 688. Chuck Gruver is 2nd with 675 and Jack May is 3rd with 664.

May has high handicap series with 807. Prezgay is 2nd with 793 and VanOrd is 3rd with 777.
