Roundup: Brookfield tennis team opens season with win

---- — Coach Kevin Boyd’s Brookfield High girls tennis team kicked off the 2013 fall sports season with a 3-2 win over McDonald at Harding Park in Hubbard.

Ashley and Autumn Kirila and Alexandra Plyler swept the singles matches for the Lady Warriors.

Ashley Kirila notched a 6-0, 6-1 decision at No. 1 singles, Autumn Kirila won 6-3, 6-2 at 2nd singles and Plyler registered a 6-3, 6-2 victory at No. 3 singles.

At Yankee Run Golf Course, in a close match Monday, the Fallsmen notched a tight victory.

Jacob Harrah fined a 38 to lead NF, while the Warriors were paced by Lonnie Schell’s 41.
