Roundup: KC, Mercer, GC golf win

---- — Teddy Haaz had a round of 43 Tuesday afternoon, keying Kennedy Catholic High’s golf team to a 182-186 win over Lakeview.

At Tam O’Shanter Golf Course, Hermitage, Haaz had to share medalist honors with Lakeview’s Keith Kepner.

KC improved to 4-0 overall, 2-0 in its District 10 region.

At Pleasant Acres Golf Course in Jamestown, Nate Guiler fired a 37 to lead the Mustangs (4-0) past the Muskies (1-2). Jake Reaugh, Chris Shultz and Ronnie Meals all shot 45s for Jamestown.

ä Grove City 171, Sharpsville 189 — At Shenango Lake Golf Club, Matt Gordon fired a 40 to earn medalist honors for the Eagles. Matt Wiesen led the Blue Devils with 46.

At Grove City Country Club Monday, Gordon’s medalist round of 74 led the host Eagles to victory.

However, Meadville (14) leads the season standings, followed by Slippery Rock (11), Grove City (9), Warren (8) and Oil City (3). Slippery Rock won Monday’s tiebreaker with Warren.

At Hermitage, Marissa Works, Rachel Mettee and Lauren McGonigle swept singles play as the Lady Hornets (4-1) rolled past the Lady Knights.
