Roundup: Hornet Harrier Invite is Saturday

---- — The 15th annual Hornet Harrier Cross Country Invitational will take place Saturday.

Coach Tony Mastrian noted the girls’ and boys’ varsity races will begin at 9 and 9:45 a.m., respectively, followed by a junior varsity race at 10:30, and junior high boys’ and girls’ races at 11:15 and 11:45 a.m., respectively.

The 17-school field will include Cochranton, Commodore Perry, Conneaut Area, Greenville, Hickory, Jamestown, Kennedy Catho-lic, Lakeview, Laurel, Neshannock, Reynolds, Rocky Grove, Sharon, Sharpsville, Shenango, West Middlesex, Wilmington.

At Deer Creek, Hubbard Twp., the host Big Reds recorded the win, led by medalist Jace Burger’s round of 40.

WM coach Leah Roskos reported that Sharon freshman Joe Fabe shot a 38.

ä Reynolds 190, Greenville 191 — At The Greens of Greenville, Zach Taylor shot a 42 and Jacob Reimold fired a 43 as the Raiders edged the Trojans (0-2) in a thriller.

Nick Dietrich led the way for the Greenville linksters with a 43.
