Hickory coach Craig Antush noted that his Lady Hornets will compete in the annual Meadville Invitational at 10 a.m. today at Whispering Pines Golf Course in Vernon Twp.

Jada Poindexter, Alaura Dillon, Jackie White and M.K. Bair had the other goals. White was credited with 2 assists and Isabella Spadafora collected 4 helpers. Morgan McBride had the shutout in goal.

ä Sharon 1, West Middlesex 0 — At West Middlesex, Emma Levitt launched the lone goal of the match, assisted by Ashlyn Zajac.

Sharon (2-4) was out-shot, 24-11, but Coach Terry Shernisky credited his defense for its play in front of goalkeeper Kelsie McGranahan, who made 18 saves.

ä Wilmington 8, Kennedy Catholic 0 — At Butala Stadium, Kyler Lum notched a hat trick as the Hounds blanked KC (2-3).

Leann Wynder and Anna Hartwell had 2 goals for Wilmington and McKenzie Smith tallied the other goal.
