MERCER COUNTY
—
Community Health Partnership of Mercer County in Hermitage is offering mammograms to those who qualify.
Family Planning offices in Sharon, Greenville and Grove City provide yearly exams to screen for breast and cervical cancer for women age 64 and younger. Most insurance plans, including managed care plans, are accepted as payment.
For eligible women ages 40 to 49 who lack insurance to cover a mammogram, Family Planning works with the Mammogram Voucher Program to offer the screening free.
A clinical breast exam at Family Planning is required, unless a recent exam has been performed by a private physician who has ordered the mammogram.
Under this program, additional diagnostic testing is provided for abnormal mammogram results at no cost.
A special cancer screening program at Family Planning, called HealthyWoman, allows eligible uninsured women ages 50 to 64 to get a yearly breast exam and Pap test and mammogram at no charge.
Community Health Partnership of Mercer County and the American Cancer Society, with the support of local health care providers and agencies, are offering these screenings::
