BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH


Thursday marks the beginning of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and The Herald and participating advertisers will do their share to keep the fight to eradicate the disease in the local spotlight.

A six-page section included in today’s edition features local stories by Herald reporters about breast cancer, and beginning Friday and every Friday in October, a sponsored page containing local stories and photos will be published.

In addition, The Herald’s classified and retail advertising departments will publish special promotions aimed at awareness, and The Herald will publish advertising-sponsored tips of the day throughout the month.

The pink ribbon, the national symbol in the fight against breast cancer, will appear as a part of The Herald’s nameplate throughout October.
