Kalynn Shollenberger and Timothy J. Sokolak were married Aug. 9, 2008, in Our Lady of Fatima Church, Farrell, by the Rev. Donald Berdis and Monsignor Salvatore Mitchell.
The bride is a daughter of Karen Shollenberger, Hermitage, and the late James Shollenberger.
Parents of the groom are Thomas and Deborah Sokolak, West Middlesex.
Kristine Shollenberger, Lake Wales, Fla., bride’s sister, was maid of honor. Stacy Cinibulk, Latrobe, Pa., bride’s sister, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Kathleen Lane, Columbus, Ohio, and Janine Schera, Greenwich, Conn., groom’s sisters.
Best man was Thomas Sokolak, Hermitage, groom’s brother. Ushers were Michael David, West Middlesex, groom’s cousin, and David Gibb, Hermitage, friend of the couple.
A reception followed in Shenango Valley Civic Center, Sharon.
After a honeymoon to Jamaica, the newlyweds live in Monroeville.
Mrs. Sokolak graduated in 2003 from Hickory High School, Hermitage; and 2007 from Clarion University, with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. She is employed by Gateway School District, Monroeville.
Her husband graduated in 2002 from Kennedy Catholic High School, Hermitage, and in 2006 from Pennsylvania State University, with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. He is employed by Westinghouse Electric Corp., Monroeville.
