Anna “Ann” Metelsky Stowe, a resident since 1945 of 626 Liberty St., Grove City, passed away at 8:30 p.m. Saturday, July 1, 2006, in Grove City Medical Center, Pine Township, after a 13-month illness. She was 91.

Mrs. Stowe was born on April 18, 1915, in Farrell to William and Theresa Palko Metelsky.

A homemaker, she was a member of East Main Presbyterian Church, Grove City.

Her husband, James A. “Bus” Stowe, is deceased.

Surviving are: four children, James “Dick” Stowe and his wife Judy, Greenville; Phyllis Allison, Grove City; Donald Stowe and his wife Nellie, Harrisville; and Gary Stowe, Grove City; a brother, Michael Metelsky and his wife Eleanor, Mercer; and seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.

Besides her husband, Mrs. Stowe was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Dorothy Spelko and Margaret Suto; three half brothers, Albert, William and Edward Metelsky; and a son, David Stowe.

Service: Funeral service at 1 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home with Pastor Bill Pike and Elder Mitch Terry of Seventh-day Adventist Church, Shenango Township, officiating.

Interment: Crestview Memorial Park, Pine Township.
