LOWELLVILLE, Ohio — Christine M. Macabobby, Lowellville, passed away Wednesday afternoon (4-12-06) in her residence. She was 78.

Mrs. Macabobby was born Dec. 24, 1927, in Wheatland, a daughter of the late Jon and Gertrude Hilgret Vasilie. She was a lifelong Lowellville area resident.

Mrs. Macabobby was an assembler for 20 years at Delphi Packard Electric Systems, Warren, Ohio.

She was a member of St. Michael Byzantine Church, Campbell, and its Couples Club; and the Ladies Auxiliary to Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7538, Struthers, Ohio. 

She was a very loving mother and a wonderful wife.

Christine will be deeply missed by: her husband, John Macabobby, whom she married June 14, 1947; a son, John Macabobby and his wife Ann, Uniontown, Ohio; two daughters, Paula and her husband Rick Weaver, Coitsville; and Gail and her husband Don Daniels, Pittsburgh; a sister, Helen Rubalcava, Hubbard; and two grandchildren, John Andrew Macabobby and Nicholas Daniels.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Victoria Fluent; and two brothers, Earl and Mike Vasilie.
