College graduates

• Kaitlin Wiggins graduated magna cum laude with high honors from the University of Pittsburgh on April 28 with a bachelor of science degree in economics and political science with a minor in history.

During her college career she was a dean’s list student, and a member of Golden Key International recognizing the top 15 percent of the junior class; Sigma Alpha Lambda, a national leadership and honors organization; Phi Eta Sigma recognizing academic excellence among freshman students; and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. She was also a member of the Pre-Law Chapter of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity International at the university.

Kaitlin, the daughter of Gary and Linda Wiggins, Mercer, is a 2015 graduate of Mercer High School. She will continue her education at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in the fall.

• Markia Gordon graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania May 11 with a bachelor of science degree in biology/pre-medicine.

Markia graduated in 2015 as valedictorian from Farrell High School.
