Purchase brick paver in county memorial garden

MERCER — The Mercer County Courthouse Memorial and Honor Garden Committee is making memorial or honorary bricks available for holiday giving. Bricks bought as a gift will come, upon request, with a certificate to be given to the appropriate person. Brick placement is expected to occur in the spring.

The Memorial and Honor Gardens are beside the north portico of the courthouse. Each brick costs $53, tax included, and may have up to three rows of print with 17 characters per line including spaces. Fewer letters mean the print will be larger. Names, Bible verses, quotations and terms of endearment are all acceptable.

Sale proceeds will be used to maintain the gardens. The goal is to aid county government by maintaining the gardens without public funds.

Orders may be sent to: Memorial and Honor Gardens, 119 S. Pitt St., Mercer, PA 16137.

For information call 724-662-3490 between 10 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday or between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Saturday.
