• The following area students were named to the spring semester honors lists: President’s or Dean’s lists. To achieve either list, students must have full-tome status and attain a quality grade point average of 4.0 (President’s) or 3.5 (Dean’s) on 12 or more credits during a single semester, with no continuing or incomplete grades.

Students are:

Grove City – Catherine Jaskowak and Camryn Skibinski, both received president’s list honors.

Jamestown – Caitlyn Richter received president’s list honors.

Sharon – Jacob Wilson received dean’s list honors.

•  The following local students have been named to the Dean’s List for the spring 2020 semester at Baldwin Wallace University, Berea. Any full-time student who achieves a grade point average of at least 3.6 for 12 or more graded hours or part-time student who achieves a grade point average of at least 3.6 for six or more graded hours in the fall or spring semester will be placed on the dean’s list.

Students are: 

Hermitage – Joslyn Materna and Jared Rudge.

New Wilmington – Emma Prestien.

• The following local students were named to the spring semester dean’s list at Ohio University, Athens, Ohio. Students are:

Brookfield – Hunter Bych and Veronica Hall.

Grove City – Brad Cavolo.

Hermitage – Mikenzie Hiler, Joseph Gasior and Payson Weekley.

Mercer – Leah Peck.

OHIO students must earn at least a 3.5 grade point average for the semester with a schedule of classes totaling at least 15 hours, 12 of which were taken for letter grades, to achieve this distinction.

• Kayla L. Stuart, a resident of Wheatland, was recognized by Arcadia University, Glenside, Pa., for academic excellence during Honors Convocation.

Usually held in March, the ceremony this year was held online due to COVID-19. The online ceremony recognized students who earned dean’s list or distinguished dean’s list for the spring semesters, as well as departmental and University awards.
