Orangeville Baptist sets Sunday services, trip

SHARPSVILLE – Orangeville Baptist Church, 7600 Orangeville Road in Sharpsville, will hold Sunday school for all ages at 10 a.m. Sunday. Worship will be held at 11 a.m.

A Bible study and evening prayer are scheduled for 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Additionally, the church reminds the community that it is always collecting food for its food pantry.

A trip to the Bavarian town of Frankenmuth, Mich. – a Christmas town – is planned for Nov.1 and 2.

The cost for the trip is $75 and it includes transportation and lodging (with four to a room).

Guest speaker at tabernacle Sept. 15

FARRELL – Apostle Patricia A. Tatum, pastor of New Life Covenant Church, will be the speaker at the 11 a.m. service on Sept. 15 at Hour of Power Full Gospel Tabernacle, 1126 Fruit Ave., Farrell.

She will be accompanied by her congregation.

Guest speaker Sunday at Second Baptist

SHARPSVILLE – Second Baptist Church, 10th Walnut and High streets, Sharpsville, welcomes guest speaker Bishop Alvin J. McCoy at the 11:15 a.m. service Sunday.

Bishop McCoy is from Greater New and Living Way Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ, Sharon.

Whispering Oaks services slated

HERMITAGE – Whispering Oaks, 260 S. Buhl Farm Drive, Hermitage, holds services at 9 a.m. Sundays in the chapel.

Blessing of the pets set for Sunday

HERMITAGE – St. John’s Orthodox Church, 3180 Morefield Road, Hermitage, will hold Blessing of the Animals at 4 p.m. Sunday in the church parking lot.

The blessing will last about 15 to 20 minutes. Animals should be leashed, crated or can stay in the car. 

Blessed dog biscuits, kitty treats, carrots and sugar cubes will be available for all animals whether present or available for carryout.

In case of inclement weather, the event will be canceled.
