Don Reed documentary to air on CTN

HERMITAGE – The Don Reed Story, “A Man on the Edge of Eternity,” will be the featured movie on CTN (Christian Television Network) of Southwest Florida.

The movie will air on Saturday Night Movie Night at 9 p.m. Saturday.

Don Reed Sr., founder of Crossing Paths Television and Don Reed Ministries, will be interviewed at 6:30 p.m. Friday on CTN of Southwest Florida by Paul Lodato, general manager, on his show “Contending for the Faith.”

Anyone can watch these programs live streaming on www.ctntelevision. com. More than 20 people from the Shenango Valley participated in the movie.

Quintet to perform at Beloved Disciple

GROVE CITY – The Church of the Beloved Disciple, 1310 S. Center St. Ext., Grove City, will host a recital by Youngstown’s Bravura Woodwind Quintet featuring the music of Darius Milhaud, Malcom Arnold, Franz Danzi and others at 3 p.m. Sunday.

Bible study to examine Gospel of St. John

Church to host Winterfest Hall Picnic

HERMITAGE – Holy Cross Orthodox Church, 950 Maple Dr., Hermitage, will have a Winterfest Hall Picnic from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday. Come enjoy picnic food in the dead of winter.

Cost is $10 for adults; $5 for children ages 5 to 11, and children younger than 5 are free.

Temple plans pastor retirement celebration

BROOKFIELD – Greater New and Living Way Temple will have a Pastor Retirement Celebration honoring Bishop Alvin J. McCoy for his 40 years of pastoring at 4 p.m. Saturday at Tiffany Manor Banquet Hall, 601 Bedford Road SE in Brookfield.

Tickets are $25 for adults and $13 for children ages 12 and younger.

Program to celebrate Serbian culture

HERMITAGE – Experience the culture of Serbia through a formal evening of dinner and dancing at “A Night in Belgrade” Saturday.

The event begins at 6 p.m. at St. George Serbian Social Center, 65 S. Keel Ridge Road, Hermitage. Hors d’oeuvres are at 6 p.m., dinner at 6:30 p.m. and folklore performances at 7 p.m.

Entertainment provided by Paganini Band.

Advanced tickets for couples are $50 and single $30; at the door, couples $60 and single $30.
