FARRELL – The Farrell Strategic Planning and Economic Development Committee will be having its annual Beautification Day Saturday.

The committee plans to continue the clean-up throughout the summer. They are asking for the support of all community residents, because every block in the city matters.

The committee is reaching out for block leaders who will volunteer to take charge of their area. This will create unity throughout the neighborhoods.

Flowers and mulch will be given to Farrell residents. Depending on CDC guidelines, this could be a drive-through pickup. If bad weather prevails, the back-up date is June 5. Flowers and mulch can be picked up from 7 a.m. to noon at the Old Farmer’s Market on Wallis Avenue and Federal Street.

Anyone interested in becoming a block leaser should contact one of the committee members: Mayor Kim Doss, Carminal Craig, Adrienne Gordon, Rochelle Robinson, Tiffany Holden, Venesta Kirk, Tony Seltzer or City Manager Ben Prescott.
