WEST SALEM TOWNSHIP — “Jesus, There’s Something About That Name” Christmas musical will be presented at 7 p.m. Saturday; and 6 p.m. Sunday in Crossroads Christian Fellowship, 805 Vernon Road.

Crossing Paths slates Christmas special



HERMITAGE — Crossing Paths (Don Reed Ministries) local Christian television program will present a Christmas special to be shown at 9 a.m. Sunday and 11 p.m. Dec. 29 on cable channel 5 in Hermitage and cable channel 7 in Greenville.

The special also will be shown at 1:37 a.m. Wednesday on WKBN-Channel 27, Youngstown, and at 11 a.m. Sunday on Fox 17/62 (check listings for cable channels).

More than 70 people took part in the production and special music was provided by The Mission Bells bell choir of Lakeside Evangelical Congregational Church, Pymatuning Township, directed by Susan Simmons.

The show was produced by Trimedia Productions of Hermitage at Chapel Jubilee in New Castle.

South Py Community sets Christmas musical



SOUTH PYMATUNING TOWNSHIP — “Jesus, There’s Something About That Name” Christmas musical will be presented at 10 a.m. Sunday in South Pymatuning (Township) Community Church, 3400 Tamarack Drive.

The church’s Adult Choir and 3-D Drama ministries will present the interpretation of the Christmas story and worship music highlighting the Lord Jesus Christ’s coming to earth.

Nurseries for infants and toddlers will be available.

Villa Maria Center event to cover John Paul II



VILLA MARIA, Pa. — “Coffee and Contemplation: ‘A Reflection on John Paul II” will be from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Jan. 2 in Villa Maria Retreat Center, one mile south of U.S. 422 on Evergreen Road.

Margaret Marszal, Humility of Mary, will discuss the global influence of John Paul II, not only on the Catholic church but on other faiths and political beliefs.
