Christian motorcyclists to be part of 2nd rally



SHENANGO VALLEY — Several Christian Motorcycle Association branches will ride today in the second annual “Rally in the Valley.”

The run starts at 6 p.m. at McDonald’s in Sharon and makes its way to Veterans Square Park in Farrell, where people will be assembled awaiting the arrival of the bikers. Games will be provided for children at the park. Hot dogs and drinks will be available.

Living Word Church, Hermitage; New Light Missionary Baptist Church, Sharon; Shenango Valley Ministerial Association; and Child Evangelism Fellowship are sponsors.

New Light Baptist Church hosting 1-day seminar



SHARON — A one-day seminar will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday in New Light Missionary Baptist Church, 170 Sharpsville Ave.

“Defining Our Role as Missionaries” will be the theme. Evangelist Jacqueline Walker, associate of Greater Mount Zion Church of God in Christ in Farrell, will discuss life challenges.

Sister Phyllis Bolling, first lady of Second Baptist Church in Farrell, will lead praise and worship. Elder Allison Crosby will lead witnessing.

Sister Monica Avery, first lady of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Sharon, will present, “Putting it All together.”

Lunch will be served and an offering will be received.

Memorial Day Mass set at St. Rose's Mausoleum



HERMITAGE — A Memorial Day Mass is planned for 9:30 a.m. Monday at St. Rose’s Mausoleum, Dutch Lane.

Villa Maria Center sets pair of programs



VILLA MARIA, Pa. — Villa Maria Retreat Center, one mile south of U.S. 422 on Evergreen Road in Lawrence County, will host the upcoming programs:

“Art and Retreat: Mandalas and Prayer” is Thursday through June 1. Paulette Kirschensteiner, Humility of Mary, will explore art as a resource for listening to God’s presence. Costs include course materials.

“Spiritual Fitness with Nancy Mramor, Ph.D.” is from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 21. “Spiritual Fitness” is a guidebook for those willing to incorporate spirituality into their health practice. Gospel River Boys to visit Shenango Valley Baptist



HERMITAGE — The Gospel River Boys will perform at 7 p.m. May 30 in Shenango Valley Baptist Church, 40 S. Neshannock Road.

The Lamp Music recording artists sing original southern gospel songs and current and classic hits. The group performs about 140 concert dates annually. They have been on GAC and Gospel Music Television Network.

First Baptist Church to host college Heralds



SHARPSVILLE — The Appalachian Bible College Heralds will present a sacred concert at 7:30 p.m. June 6 in First Baptist Church, 185 Union St.

An introduction to West Virginia’s only accredited Bible college also will be given.

Crossroads Christian having summer program



WEST SALEM TOWNSHIP — Children entering first through sixth grades can take part in a free summer program from 1 to 4:15 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, June 17 through Aug. 14 in Crossroads Christian Fellowship, 805 Vernon Road.
