GREENVILLE – Thiel College as named Amy M. Arbogast its new vice president for finance and administration.
Arbogast was hired following a national search and will start in June. She will replace Bob Schmoll senior vice president for finance and management. Schmoll is retiring at the end of June.
As the vice president for finance and administration, she will be a member of the President’s Cabinet and will be the college’s chief financial and administrative officer. She will provide financial leadership to the campus community and collaborate with other members of the President’s Cabinet to accomplish strategic priorities. She will supervise business and account services functions, human resources, maintenance and facilities and information technology.
Arbogast is the chief financial officer and treasurer at Vocational Guidance Services in Cleveland. VGS is a vocational rehabilitation agency with a 130-year history in northeastern and central. She started at VGS as chief financial officer in 2017. Arbogast spent six years as thBe vice president of finance and administration at Magnificat High School, an all-girls Catholic, college-preparatory high school. Before working at Magnificat, she spent seven years at the Sherwin-Williams Co. headquarters in downtown Cleveland in various financial roles.
Arbogast earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a Master of Business Administration from Kent State University and recently earned an Executive Scholar Certificate in Nonprofit Management from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. A graduate of the Cleveland Leadership Center’s Leadership Cleveland Class of 2019, she is also a member of Finance Council for St. Joseph Parish in Avon Lake and is active with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
