Community Food Warehouse of Mercer County will have a free, drive-through food distribution from 4 to 6 today (or until the food runs out) at Greenville High School, 9 Donation Road, Greenville.

It will be a no-contact, truck-to-trunk distribution. There is no need to get out of your vehicle, just pop your trunk or hatch for the food box to be placed inside.

The event is funded through the federal government as relief for those in financial need because of the COVID-19 pandemic.


St. Philip Catholic Church Social Hall, 401 S. Mercer St., Linesville is hosting an artifact and relic show from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 1. There will be flint knapping and spear throwing demonstrations and multiple items on display, including Indian artifacts, fossils and minerals.

The cost is $4 for adults and children 12 and younger get in free.

Social distancing and mask policy will be enforced.
