FOOD DISTRIBUTIONS

• Jubilee Ministries International’s Nourishing Others Well-being Projectalong with The Christian Chamber of Commerce of Western Pennsylvania is sponsoring a drive-through food giveaway for up to 2,500 families at 11 a.m. Saturday at The Town Mall (Cascade Galleria Plaza), 200 S. Jefferson St., New Castle.

Cars must forma line beginning at West Washington Street and the Columbus Innerbelt.

Each family will receive multiple boxes containing fresh milk; dairy products, meat, assorted fresh produce, and assorted shelf-stable groceries. A limited supply of frozen meal boxes for children under age 18 also available. Volunteers will load boxes directly into vehicles.

Boxes will be given away on a first-come, first-served basis for anyone in need.

The distribution will open once trucks are unloaded and distribution lines are set up.

YOUTH EVENTS

• Girl Scouts Western Pennsylvania has launched a series of free, at-home events to offer all girls a fun, interactive experience and the opportunity to connect with other girls.

The events are centered on an activity – building and launching a rocket, creating a flower crown, or assembling a robot – and parents and caregivers are encouraged to join in the fun with their girl.

The events will be held throughout the winter and provide non-members the opportunity to experience the fun and friendship of Girl Scouts. View the full schedule and register to attend at gswpa.org/party. The December event schedule:

» Rocket launch party, 5:30 p.m. today.

» Robot building party, 7 p.m. Thursday

» Flower crown party, 1 p.m. Saturday.
