THINGS TO DO

MEETINGS

• Mercer County Penn Power Retirees meet for breakfast at 9:15 a.m. Tuesday and the second Tuesday of each month (except for August and December) at Eat’n Park, Hermitage.

No reservations are needed. Spouses welcome.

• West Middlesex High School class of 1966 meets at 2 p.m. June 23 at Perkins restaurant, Hermitage.

All classmates welcome.

• Reynolds High School class of 1961 gathers for lunch at 1 p.m. Tuesday 11 at Perkin’s Restaurant, Greenville.

 

PET STUFF

• All Paws Matter will hold a pet carnival from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 15 at Lisa’s General Store, 100 Hadley Road, Greenville.

Bring your furry four-legged pups for some fun. There will be a bake sale, games, doggie vendors to shop for people and pets, and a basket auction. 

Numerous rescue pets will also be on hand looking for their furever homes.

 

SPECIAL EVENTS

• The Shenango Valley Indenominational Clergywomen’s Alliance will be having a rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. This event will be held rain or shine in Founder’s Hall of the Hour of Power Full Gospel Tabernacle, 1126 Fruit Ave. Farrell. There will be clothes, shoes, household items and much more.

• Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 3325 Morefield Road, Hermitage, will hold its Strawberry Fest Social from 1:30 to 6:30 p.m. June 19. 

Fresh strawberries, cake, ice cream and beverage will be $5.

Also available at reasonable prices will be stuffed cabbage, cabbage and noodles, hot dogs, sloppy joes, macaroni salad and baked beans.

Proceeds benefit the Dorcas Society projects.

• Leesburg ECO Presbyterian Church is sponsoring its fifth-annual Touch A Truck and All Things that Go! event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 22 atd the church. Admission is free.
