• A garage sale is planned for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the old convent in front of St. Joseph’s School, 760 E. State St, Sharon.

More than 400 items will be available, some quite unique.

• An ice cream sundae social will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. July 6 at the Reynolds Veterans of Foreign Wars post home on Edgewood Drive.

Cost is $3. Proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society.

• St. Margaret’s Church, Jamestown, holds its 29th annual chicken barbecue dinner from noon to 3 p.m. July 6.

Menu includes a half chicken, scalloped potatoes, cole slaw, corn, rolls, cake and beverage.

Cost is $7.50 for adults and $3.50 for children. Tickets available at the door. Takeouts available.

• South Pymatuning Volunteer Fire Department holds an all-you-can-eat pancake and sausage breakfast from 7 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the fire station, 3505 Tamarack Drive, next to the municipal building.

Cost is $5 for adults and $3 for children ages 12 and younger.


• Farrell High School class of 1952 meets for lunch at noon Wednesday at Happy Days, Brookfield.

• Farrell High School class of 1941 gathers for lunch at 11:30 a.m. July 3 at Denny’s Restaurant, Hermitage.


• The annual Lilly reunion is set to begin at noon July 5 at Lackawannock Township Building. Dinner is at 12:30 p.m.

Beverage provided. Take your own table service and casserole for your family and a white elephant item for the Chinese auction.
