RECYCLING

• Jamestown’s recycling will be from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday at the Jamestown Lion’s Club Community Center behind the high school.

Recycling will be on the third Saturday of each month unless otherwise noted. No dumping is allowed before posted hours.

FUNDRAISERS

• Friends of MERP, the Medical Equipment Recycling Program, is holding its annual holiday pie, cookie dough and cheese sale.

Orders are being taken through Oct. 31 for 11 varieties of pie ($17), eight kinds of cookie dough in 3-pound packages ($15), six kinds of cheese spreads ($11) and specialty items including cheesecakes, pumpkin rolls and carrot, German chocolate or strawberry cake ($16 to $20).

Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 18 at either MERP location or at the volunteer desk at Jameson Hospital in New Castle.

Bonnie Minor will be celebrating her 80th birthday on Oct. 22.Bonnie retired from Northwood Realty, Grove City.

Bonnie is the mother of Gary Minor and wife Maria, with grandsons Garrett and Noah Minor, New City, N.Y., along with daughter Tammy Longenecker and husband Ken, with grand dogs Lola and Spike, residing in Thornton, Colo.
