• Mercer County Garage Association will not be holding its fall inspection meeting this year because of COVID-19. Anyone in need of MV480 or MV431 Inspection books should contact PJ’s Auto and Taylor Chevrolet Parts.
• Mercer County Conservation District presents a local soil health workshop from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Oct. 22 for an opportunity to talk with other farmers in the area about soil health and the role of cover crops. Two local farmers, Troy Hill and Bill Cannon, will speak about their knowledge and learning experiences with the incorporation of cover crops onto their farms. Attendees can view local cover crop fields and equipment utilized to plant them during this workshop.
This is a free program, but a bagged lunch option is available for a fee of $5. Attendees must indicate they want this option when registering.
This program will be held at Launch 3 in MK Goddard State Park. The park address is 684 Wilhelm Rd., Sandy Lake. Attendees are encouraged to locate where Launch 3 is specifically within the park. CDC guidelines are mandatory for those attending. Registration is required by Oct. 16.
