MERCER – The Pennsylvania State Police Mercer barracks, 826 Franklin Road, requests new, unwrapped toys that can be dropped of in the lobby of the station until Dec. 16.

The PSP collects toy in conjunction with the Children’s Aid Society of Mercer, to help the children in Mercer County have a present-filled holiday.

Hermitage Goodfellows

HERMITAGE – The Hermitage Goodfellows are continuing their 50-plus-year tradition of serving Hermitage citizens in need during the holiday season.

The Goodfellows are soliciting donations of new toys, canned or boxed food, and money until Dec. 20.No clothing, bicycles, used toys or used plush animals will be accepted.

New toys and various food items may be dropped off during business hours at: the Hermitage City Garage, 5250 Virginia Road or the Hermitage Central Fire Station, 2511 Highland Road. Monetary contributions may be made payable to Hermitage Goodfellows and mailed to Box 1011, Hermitage, PA 16148.

Residents and organizations are welcome to attend Goodfellows’ work day beginning at 9 a.m. Dec. 24 at the Hermitage City Garage.

Anyone knowing of residents in need should drop a note with the name, address, phone number, and names, ages and gender of children to the Hermitage Goodfellows, Box 1011, Hermitage 16148.

Packing will begin at 9 a.m. Dec. 24 in the Hermitage City Garage.

Marine Toys for Tots

HERMITAGE – Allstate agency owner Gary Ceremuga is teaming up with the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation to spread holiday cheer.

Through Friday, community members are encouraged to stop by his agency to donate new, unwrapped toys for local children in need. The agency is at 2956 E. State St., Hermitage. Hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday by appointment. Landon’s Christmas pet drive

Landon is a 6-year-old Mercer resident wanting to gather Christmas gifts and funds to help local animal shelters. He has raised more than $5,000 since May 2018 by having lemonade stands within the community. He would love for all these animals to have a new toy, bone, or bed for Christmas.Drop items at:

• Elite EMS, 3625 E. State St., Hermitage.

• Dutch Lane Kennel, Coolspring Church Road, Coolspring Township.

Donations of dog toys, treats, and pet beds of any kind would be appreciated. Donations will be collected through Dec. 20.
