In response to a report that a Jamestown Area School District staff member was in contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19, the district has suspended all activities for 14 days.
"In order to exercise caution, we are cancelling all open gyms, band camp, and any other school activities until August 13 or until additional information is obtained," officials posted on the district's Facebook page.
Jamestown joined Sharpsville and Wilmington area school districts in shutting down activities this week.
Sharpsville Area School District took the action after a student tested positive for the virus.
Wilmington Area School District suspended activities after two staff members were exposed to the virus. As of Thursday, the staff members' test results had not been released.
