Donna E. Catalano of 203 S. Mercer St., Greenville, passed away at 10 p.m. Sunday, April 9, 2006, in her home after a battle with cancer. She was 56.

Mrs. Catalano was born on June 16, 1949, in Greenville to David C. and Mary I. Albaugh Long.

She was a 1967 graduate of Greenville High School and was employed for 17 years as a teller at First National Bank, Hadley Road, Greenville.

Donna was an active member of Greenville Alliance Church, Hempfield Township, where she served in the Library Ministry. She enjoyed hosting a Ladies Lift Bible Study group in her home.

Donna enjoyed attending church and church fellowships and also hosted a church singles group.

She especially enjoyed spending time with her husband, family and friends whom she loved very much. She enjoyed organizing games and activities for their get-togethers.

In her journey through her illness, Donna relied on her personal relationship with Jesus Christ to minister to her regularly through prayer and Bible scripture. She testified to Christ’s faithfulness to do so.

She married Robert P. Catalano on March 30, 1968. He survives at home.

Also surviving are: three sons, Robert Catalano Jr. and his wife Traci Rutter Catalano, Harmony, Pa.; Richard Catalano and his wife Janene Shafer Catalano; and John Catalano and his fiancée Tracey Capelle and her son Byron; her mother, Mary I. Long; her brother, John E. Long; and two sisters, Marilyn D. Palmiter and her husband Earl Palmiter Jr.; and Cathy J. Eckley and her husband David, all Greenville; and four grandchildren, Dean, Maria, Nathan and David.

She was preceded in death by her father and a brother, David L. Long.
