CARLISLE, Pa. — Mary E. “Betty” Bolton Boles, 1000 Claremont Road, Carlisle, PA 17013, formerly of 325 Columbia St., Sharon, passed away at 9:05 a.m. Sunday, March 12, 2006, in Claremont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Carlisle, of natural causes after a brief illness. She was 80.

Betty was born Jan. 26, 1926, in DuBois, Pa., to William W. and Mary Jane Brown Bolton.

She was a barmaid for 10 years at American Carpatho-Russian Citizens and Social Club, Sharon, and had also worked as a waitress at the former Ranch House in Sharpsville.

She was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church and in her younger years belonged to Covenant Presbyterian Church, both Sharon.

Betty had been a member of the Carpo-Russ Club. She enjoyed spending time with her family and watching golf matches in television.

Surviving are: a son, Harold L. Boles and his wife Mary Kay; two grandsons, Jonathan Boles and Christopher Luce; and a granddaughter, Megan Boles, all Mechanicsburg, Pa.; two sisters, Lucretta L. and her husband Donald Moore, Farmdale, Ohio; and Lois E. Bailescq, Masury; three half-brothers, Donald D. “Whitey” Bochert, Farrell; Albert E. Bochert, Cortland, Ohio; and Dennis E. Bochert, Seneca Falls, N.Y.

Besides her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her brother, Theodore Bolton; two sisters, Gladys V. Bolton and JoAnna Mijic; and a half-brother, Heverly Bochert.

Service: Memorial service at 11 a.m. Friday (3-24-06) in HAROLD W. STEVENSON FUNERAL HOME, 264 E. State St., Sharon, with the Rev. Thomas Willcox, pastor of Covenant Presbyterian Church, Sharon, officiating.

Interment: Oakwood Cemetery, Hermitage.
