SHARON – Two men are accused of kidnapping and raping a woman because they thought she stole their guns.

The men were charged Friday for an incident reported to have started at 12:54 p.m. Sept. 8 in the 700 block of Baldwin Avenue, police said.

Tyrell Cebray Adkins, 24, of 1221 Washington St., Farrell, was charged with rape, unlawful restraint, making terroristic threats, assault, strangulation, aggravated indecent assault and involuntary deviate sexual intercourse in the case.

Louis Yontya Brewer Jr., 26, New Castle, was charged with rape, unlawful restraint, making terroristic threats, assault, kidnap, aggravated indecent assault, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and possessing a firearm when not allowed to.

According to a police criminal complaint, the victim told detectives that Adkins told her he left a firearm in her car. She was angry so she threw it out in the 600 block of Indiana Avenue.

Adkins got angry and insisted they go look for it. He became more enraged when they could not find the firearm or an additional firearm he had left in her vehicle. She said she feared for her life, because he was threatening her.

The victim told police that Adkins pointed a shotgun at her and forced her to smoke crack cocaine, according to the complaint, threatening her multiple times. The victim said she thought he was going to kill her.

She said Adkins then raped her, according to the criminal complaint.

Adkins took her to look for the gun again and after they could not find it, he called other people and told them he doesn’t care about her and they can do whatever they wanted with her. She then tried to run away, but he caught her and dragged her back to the vehicle.

Brewer arrived and yelled at the victim because the second handgun that apparently was lost belonged to him.

Brewer then dragged her to his car. He took her to a residence in the 800 block of Ravine Place and raped her at gunpoint, she said.

Four other men arrived and accused the woman of stealing their guns. The woman said she feared for her life.

Police have not yet arrested Adkins.

Brewer was arrested and arraigned by District Judge Dennis M. Songer, Sharon. He is in Mercer County Jail after failing to pay $200,000 bond.

Brewer awaits a preliminary hearing Sept. 28.
