MERCER – Voters in Shenango Township will cast ballots in new locations starting in May.

Residents of the Shenango Township West District, who previously voted at the township building at 3439 Hubbard-Middlesex Road, will vote at the Presbyterian Church of West Middlesex, 3082 Main St., West Middlesex.

In the East District, voters will cast ballots at the Church of the Good Shepherd, 3613 Sharon Road, West Middlesex. Shenango Township East District previously voted at the township fire hall, 4115 New Castle Road, Shenango Township.

Jeff Greenburg, Mercer County’s director of Voter Registration and Elections, said the township building will be unusable for elections during its renovations, which are scheduled to start this year. That change will be temporary. Voting will return to the township building in 2020 when the renovation project is completed.

However, the West District change will be permanent. Greenburg said the fire department is selling its headquarters, so the church fellowship hall will be the new voting site for the foreseeable future.
