HERMITAGE – The Bicycle Store now embarks on its 22nd year in business. It is with a grateful heart we thank the Lord, customers, employees, and vendors who have made this achievement possible. Now more than ever we realize how vital you all are.
Last year’s pandemic coincided with the onset of what would be our bicycling season. What a journey, but we’re still standing – or, should I say, pedaling.
Across the country, there has been a bicycle, accessory, and repair-parts shortage. We acted upon good advice and ordered merchandise weekly to be put on backorder (with an ETA of three to 12 months).
Due to this prompt action, inventory flows in steadily. We still manage a backorder list of about 200 bikes. The showroom slowly shows hints of what it used to look like. If your desired product is not in our brick-and-mortar building, the best way to ensure obtaining a bicycle is to put a back order bike on layaway so we can reserve it for you.
Please call 724-342-2031 or message us on Facebook for on-site availability or an estimated time of arrival.
With each bicycle purchase, The Bicycle Store offers a few incentives: Free layaway, free adjustments and 10% off any accessories for one year, and the trade-up program. These are benefits to think about before deciding where your final purchase is made.
In addition to new and used bicycles, The Bicycle Store carries a full line of crucial accessories to make your commute or ride more fun and safer. Why not choose a light, computer, mirror, bag, helmet, phone case, bar ends, bottle/cage or repair tool to enhance the expedition? Never a better time to get outside and breathe the fresh air.
With changes in all aspects of daily operations, our mission, however remains the same: to provide quality service and products for all ages and skill levels in a personal, competent interaction. In addition to Mike Kavulla, owner, the team stays consistent with Mark Taylor, George Holinda and Jeffry Sposito. These gentlemen are so valuable for our ongoing success and your positive shopping or service experience.
Bicycling is an essential way to commute, do errands, and stay fit.
Beginning last March, demand for bicycle repairs surged. Thank you for the patience shown to our service department. To improve turn-around time, the store started new hours on Feb. 1: Tuesday through Friday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and closed Sunday and Monday. The service department offers a menu of packages or a la carte repair options. Take care of what takes care of you.
New Year. New Ride. Despite all the changing circumstances, we are filled with hope and determination for a great cycling season. May your heart be filled with hope as well. We look forward to serving you and your bike in 2021. Keep on pedaling!
