HERMITAGE – No one was injured in a fire that damaged a house owned by the Arc of Mercer County Thursday night.
Firefighters responded to a reported house fire at 8:20 p.m. Thursday at 859 Theresa Ave., Hermitage, and saw flames on the outside of the building upon arrival, Hermitage fire Chief John Flynn said.
Flynn said at least two people, including an occupant and counselor, were in the residence at the time.
The fire is still under investigation, but Flynn said the cause could be related to smoking.
This is a developing story. See Friday's Herald for more information.
