Jack Elijah Turner, a suspect in the shooting deaths of Shannon Whitman, 49, and her son Darrin Whitman, 10, in their Randolph Township home, has been found in Charleston, West Virginia and arrested, according to Lt. Autumn Davis of the Charleston Police Department.
Davis said Turner was apprehended without incident at 1 p.m. at a Greyhound bus station, 300 Reynolds St., in Charleston. She also said they would not be releasing further details at this time.
The St. Johns County Sheriff's Office in St. Augustine, Fla., which earlier today said Turner was not believed to be in that area of Florida, said Turner, 21, was in custody of U.S. Marshall Service.
A warning was posted on Facebook by the Stoneboro Borough Police Department Monday morning, advising residents to be cautious while Pennsylvania State Police searched for Turner. Sandy Lake Township was also searched by state police.
