Food programs at local agencies can share in the federal funding that Mercer County is getting under the Emergency Food and Shelter National Board Program.
Mercer County has been awarded $52,327 for Phase 37 and $74,603 for Phase 38 CARES to supplement emergency food and shelter programs throughout Mercer County. The selection was made by a national board under the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency.
The local board is charged to distribute funds appropriated by Congress to help expand the capacity of food assistance in Mercer County. It will determine how the funds awarded to the county will be distributed among the emergency food programs run by local service agencies.
