The Mercer County District Attorney Robert G. Kochems would not comment Monday on whether criminal charges will be brought against the Episcopal Diocese of Northwestern Pennsylvania, after it came to light Sunday that a now-deceased bishop allegedly sexually abused four girls, two of them at Camp Nazareth in Mercer.

Lt. Kirt Snyder, commander of the state police barracks in Mercer, said no charges can be brought against a dead person, but he said he could not comment on whether the church would be investigated for any wrongdoing.
